Our hearts are starved for music and a better message.
I used to be so flat and worn out from my overwhelmed life and its pain and loss that I almost stopped living. To be honest, thinking about my situation then, or what to do just drained me more. I needed help in a huge way. Like most people, I was starved for great music and a better message. I just didn’t know it.
To help me rest and recover on my way back to a healthier life, God sent powerful healers for my wounded soul through music and changed my inner voice.
First, he sent uplifting music back into my life.
I had become an empty vessel, poured out so dry I couldn’t function. God surrounded me with songs of joy and music that reached my spirit. My friends’ playlists expanded my music preferences, and nights listening to live music were like warm blankets.
Music of all kinds fills the heart and stirs our emotional center reviving us in a way that is unmatched by any other thing. It is water to our dried out-wrung out lives.
For a better life, more joy, wash your daily environment in positive music with a joyful message. Sing songs that are meaningful or playful. Choose music that is uplifting. Songs with a good message will get down into your spirit and create life. When you are low, good music plants seeds that will sprout happier times. Melodies, lyrics, passages, and soaring anthems will do great things for your inner man.
Ephesians 5:19 and 20
Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your hearts to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Try this simple strategy. More music, more Jesus, less world.
Secondly, God reminded me of every blessing in my life over and over. He gave me a better internal message.
He showed me his goodness and life’s better moments. Taking those in to become part of my inner voice changed my perspective.
I created a good things list as my response. My good things list is a running lists of things I am thankful for, so I won’t lose sight of what is important.
Much humility and healing comes from genuine thankfulness.
Be grateful, express appreciation. Stop taking all the credit and share some.
Feed your inner man or woman with gratitude. Say thank you to those who have helped you on the way. Be thankful for every good and perfect gift in your life and you will be stirred up inside.
Barefoot and writing,
Kim
Colossians 3:16
16Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. 17And whatever you do, in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.…

Music fills the heart. We are starved for music and a better message.
